Cancellations & Refunds

At My Woodworking Direct, we strive to provide fair and transparent return and cancellation policies.

Orders may be canceled free of charge any time before the order ships, unless otherwise noted below for custom or made-to-order products.

Cancellations (Before Order Ships)

If you need to cancel an order before it leaves the warehouse, please contact us as soon as possible so we can issue a full refund.

Cancellations of Custom or Made-to-Order Products

Custom or made-to-order products cannot be canceled or refunded once an order is placed.

These products are built or sourced specifically for your order and enter production shortly after purchase. Once production begins, cancellation is no longer possible.

All sales are final for custom-made and made-to-order products.

If you are unsure whether a product is custom or made to order, please contact us before placing your order.

Refunds & Returns (Non-Custom Products)

Return eligibility varies by manufacturer and product.

We order products directly from our manufacturing partners. If a manufacturer does not permit returns on a specific product, we are unable to offer a return for that item.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, reconsignment fees, and any associated freight charges unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Returned items may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25%, depending on the manufacturer and product.

Due to rising LTL and freight shipping costs, outright returns (not exchanges) will incur:

  • A restocking fee (up to 25%)

  • All return shipping costs

If you are exchanging a product for another item, we may be able to assist with some costs depending on the manufacturer and product.

Return Timeframes

Customers have 30 days from the delivery date to initiate a return request.

Brand-specific return policies listed on individual product pages override this general 30-day return window.

Return approval, eligibility, and associated fees are ultimately determined by the manufacturer.

Shipping Time Estimates

Shipping times provided on product pages are estimates only and are based on information provided by manufacturers and freight carriers.

Estimated shipping times may change without notice due to factors outside of our control, including but not limited to:

  • Manufacturing delays

  • Supply chain disruptions

  • Freight carrier capacity

  • Labor shortages

  • Weather or logistical constraints

Order delays do not qualify for cancellations, refunds, or chargebacks once an order has shipped.

Important Conditions of Purchase

By placing an order with My Woodworking Direct, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • You will inspect the shipment upon delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt.

  • Any freight damage must be documented with photos and reported to support@mywoodworkingdirect.com within 24 hours of delivery.

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs and outbound shipping costs for replacement items in the event of a return or exchange.

  • Returned items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging unless otherwise approved by the manufacturer.

  • Restocking fees may apply depending on the product and manufacturer.

  • If an order has left the warehouse, a full refund is no longer guaranteed.

  • Shipping date estimates are not guarantees and may change due to factors outside of our control.

  • Order delays do not qualify for cancellation or chargeback once an order has shipped.

Freight Damage Policy

Please inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery.

If damage is present:

  • Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing

  • Take clear photos of the damage, packaging, and SKU label

  • Email documentation to support@mywoodworkingdirect.com within 24 hours

Freight damage claims submitted after 24 hours may not be eligible for coverage.

Warranty Information

Warranties vary by manufacturer. Please refer to individual product pages for warranty details.

Warranty claims apply to defects or failures occurring during normal use. Damage not reported within 30 days of delivery is not considered a warranty issue.

Returns Caused by Customer Error

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, reconsignment fees, and restocking fees resulting from:

  • Incorrect delivery addresses

  • Refused shipments

  • Failed delivery attempts

  • Ordering the wrong product

Unless otherwise stated, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

BOGO Promotions

For Buy One Get One promotions, both items must be returned to qualify for a full refund.

If only one item is returned, you may receive:

  • A replacement item, or

  • Store credit equal to the standalone value of the returned item

If an order has shipped, customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable restocking fees.

Refunds are issued only to the original payment method used at checkout.

Chargebacks

If an issue arises with your order, please contact our support team so we can assist you directly and work toward a resolution.

Filing a chargeback for issues that can be resolved through our support team may delay resolution and may result in the loss of return or refund eligibility, as determined by the payment processor.

We are committed to helping resolve issues whenever possible and encourage customers to reach out before initiating a dispute.

Individual products may have manufacturer-specific return, refund, and warranty policies that override this general policy.
